Launched in 2021 with a single van and a clear mission, Marvel Medical Transport has rapidly grown into one of the premier non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) providers serving Monmouth County, New Jersey and beyond. What began as a husband-and-wife operation built on grit, service, and vision has evolved into a trusted transportation partner for hospitals, nursing facilities, rehabilitation centers, retirement communities, and families throughout the region.

Founded by Richard and Stephanie, Marvel was born out of firsthand experience and a recognized gap in the market. After years of driving trucks across the tri-state area, Richard encountered the inefficiencies and unreliability of patient transportation while servicing a VA Medical Center. At the same time, Stephanie brought over a decade of medical industry experience, supported by her Associate Degree in Applied Science. Together, they combined logistics expertise with clinical insight to build a company focused not just on transportation, but on dependability, dignity, and care.

From its humble beginnings, Marvel has expanded its services to include ambulatory, wheelchair, and stretcher transportation, allowing the company to meet a broader range of patient needs with precision and consistency. Today, Marvel is known for its ability to execute timely, well-coordinated transport across varying levels of care, making it a preferred provider for healthcare institutions that demand reliability.

Unlike traditional curb-to-curb transportation services, Marvel operates with a higher standard. Every transport is door-through-door, ensuring patients are safely escorted from their residence or facility into clean, modern, wheelchair-accessible vehicles—and upon arrival, guided all the way through check-in at their destination. This hands-on approach reflects the company’s commitment to safety, comfort, and peace of mind for both patients and their families.

We are continuously striving to implement effective strategies for enhanced training, integrated technologies, and managerial support and communication. Because we provide local and long-distance transportation, effective planning and communication between dispatch and key facilities is paramount.

We continuously work on enhancing our scheduling and traffic management in an effort to reduce travel and wait times while increasing efficiency. We work to adapt and implement policies and procedures to support our mission, to analyze and advise on transportation issues, evaluate scheduling conflicts, negotiate and correspond with carriers, vendors, and strategic partners.

Dispatchers will receive extensive instruction on using our technological integration systems designed to support our growing scheduling and logistical demands. Dispatchers are responsible for the following:

  1. Customer intake

  2. Preparation of daily schedules and trip manifests

  3. Effective driver management and scheduling

  4. Trip management and oversight

  5. Coordination with facility personnel
